After "unknown" infertility, we opened our hearts to adoption. We first immersed ourselves in the foster care system and realized that there was a great need for loving, caring, stable foster families for abused and neglected children. Over a period of 8 years, we fostered 16 children, adopted six kids who were unable to be reunified to biological family, and adopted 2 more from private US agencies. During our journey, we saw a huge need and began an orphan care resource room in the church we attended, in order to provide free clothing, shoes, diapers, and baby items to foster and adoptive families. Since 2013, we started working with COMPACT Family Services, as US Orphan Care Missionaries, bringing the message of need and hope to churches, encouraging them that everyone can do something to make a difference in the life of children in foster care- whether by fostering, adopting, advocating, providing free services, praying or becoming social support to foster/adoptive families.
