We always knew we wanted to build a family through adoption, and we were fortunate to be connected with Margot at Forever Families Adoption Services. She is such a warm, kind and generous person who is deeply committed to supporting people on all sides of the adoption experience. About a month and a half after completing our home study we got an unexpected out-of-the-blue call from Margot with an adoption match. Never in a million years did we think that we would have an adoption match so quickly - we were so excited we could hardly sleep! We scrambled with less than three weeks to prepare for our son's arrival. We felt such an immediate bond with Wyatt as soon as we held him in the hospital and our love for him continues to know no bounds. We became a forever family on July 12, 2016. We have an open adoption and have an incredibly strong connection with Wyatt's birth family, staying in touch several times a week and visiting with them. Wyatt fills our hearts and days with immense joy and love and it has been an amazing adventure watching him grow and develop over these last 7 months! Our lives have been forever changed through adoption and we are fierce advocates for the beautiful way in which families can be created through adoption.
