I want other women who are going through this to know that it is possible to live after placement. My son and his family mean the world to me. I love them all.
— Norma

My name is Norma and I placed my son for adoption 6 years ago. I placed him because I needed him to have a father. I had planned on parenting and realized when we he was born that as a boy, in today's world, he needed a man to show him how to navigate it. I could have been the most awesome mom to him but no matter what I did, I wouldn't be a father. My adoption is extremely open. I have gone on vacation with them and they came to visit me when I lived in Hawaii. I babysit often for them and I actually did just last night. I try to help other birth mother's who are going through this because I know it is incredibly difficult. I had support from my family but not my friends. I want other women who are going through this to know that it is possible to live after placement. My son and his family mean the world to me. I love them all.
